Kathleen Zwarick Shanley, PhD, CAE, CPC, has been a C-suite executive for more than 25 years in the health policy and public relations fields. She complemented her leadership experience with training from the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (IPEC). She is IPEC-certified as a professional coach and an Energy Leadership Index™ Master Practitioner. She is an International Coach Federation credentialed associate coach and a certified association executive. She is a member of the International Coach Federation, Women Business Leaders in Health Care, American Association of Medical Society Executives, and American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). In 2018, she earned a spot as one of ASAE’s Association CareerHQ’s cadre of accredited career coaches.
Kathy is known for her proven capabilities in executive management, strategic planning, employee engagement, and coalition development. She earned a Ph.D. in public policy with a focus on decision-making models, health policy, and economics. She earned her masters degree in corporate and political communications.
Kathy has testified before federal (governmental) agencies, presented at national associations on advocacy strategies and improving stakeholder engagement; published peer-reviewed articles; and was awarded the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Administrator’s Special Citation Award for her role in increasing engagement and implementing a national campaign.
